This slab is from a decommissioned orchard tree, I have rescued it from the burn pile and milled it to reveal the magic within. Most orchard trees are grafted (two different trees fused together) and the graft line is evident in the different colors of the grain. A magical example of what is possible in lumber.

This slab measures 36” x 64” x 2.5” and is suitable for many custom pieces. It would make an excellent desk, large coffee table and even a small dining or bistro table. Additional material is available from the same tree to create even larger pieces. A true conversation piece.

By purchasing this item you will receive a hand drawing, and or rendering, of a custom piece of furniture, designed to your size and specifications, utilizing the slab(s) pictured. If you elect to have the piece made the design fee will be applied to the price of the piece.

Upon purchase the slab will be reserved for your piece and I will reach out to schedule a consultation. Once a design and quote has been submitted the slab and quote will be reserved for 2 months. A 50% deposit will be required to begin work, with the remainder due upon completion.

Purchasing this item does not entail ownership of the slab. Slab is not for individual sale, and is only available through commissioning a custom piece made from the material. Please note, slab is pictured wet and cracks do develop in the drying process, these can be stabilized with epoxy or wood.
