Advanced Bonsai Stand Class, February 20-22
Advanced Bonsai Stand Class, February 20-22
The three-way miter is the cornerstone of traditional asian furniture. It is an elegant and clean joint with each piece flowing seamlessly into the others. Though beautiful it can be a tricky and imposing joint to tackle. In this class I will pull back the curtain and show just how easily you can incorporate this joinery into your woodwork.
In this three-day course each student will complete their own bonsai stand employing three way miters. Students should possess moderate woodworking proficiency ( students need to be familiar with tablesaw, jointer and planer, though mastery is not required). Class size is limited to 3 so there will be plenty of one on one instruction.
Class is in person at 2210 North Lewis Ave. Portland OR 97227 Friday February 20 to Sunday February 22.
